At the YMCA, we support youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

  • 24 YMCA Associations in over 71 communities
  • Missouri YMCAs are in 71 diverse communities around the state, and serve over 319,000 Missourians, both children and adults.

At the YMCA, we are impacting our communities, one person at a time
Part of the Y mission is to give back to our communities, and help everyone, regardless of income, be a member of the YMCA family. We do this through volunteers who give their time, talent and energy to support our mission, and through the scholarships we give to families who cannot afford a membership. We strive to fulfill our responsibility to our communities every day.

  • YMCA volunteers numbered over 16,000 and grow every year
  • In 2012, YMCAs gave over $8.65 million in financial assistance to low-income families

The Y provides a supportive environment for families of all backgrounds, ages, and abilities where people can meet their health and well-being goals through exercise and nutrition and chronic disease programs.

YMCAs are the single largest provider of early childhood and school age programs in the state, and the nation. Missouri YMCAs teach more kids how to swim than any other institution. All YMCA programs are lessons in safety, healthy living, and self-confidence. YMCAs provide children under age six with safe, dependable places to grow before and after school. Our early childhood and afterschool programs are crucial supports for working parents and ensure that our children are classroom ready.
